Tom Felton Interviews That Prove He’s Nothing Like Draco Malfoy

Draco Malfoy was indeed an unforgiving character. He dedicated many parts of his life to giving a hard time to Harry Potter and his fellow students throughout their time at Hogwarts. Draco was one of the primary adversaries they faced during the entire series.

Without a doubt, Tom Felton’s acting skills are a delight to behold. He so accurately portrays the malicious character of Draco, leaving us spellbound by his talent. When we observe his off-screen demeanor during interviews, we are reminded of just how starkly he contrasts from his antagonistic role in Harry Potter.

Wand Fight

In five different movies, the rivalry between Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy had been escalating. Everything went to a high point in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, featuring an intense combat sequence in the restroom.

Whenever he spoke about this thrilling and intense scene, Tom Felton couldn’t help but chuckle. The way he describes it makes it sound like his wand battle in the restroom with Daniel Radcliffe suggests more of an unconventional kind of friendship between the two young boys, rather than just their characters’ heated rivalry.

Permanent Reminder

It’s quite interesting to think about whether the stars of “Harry Potter” would have found themselves in the same magical houses as their on-screen characters. For instance, Tom Felton has often expressed his belief that he, just like his character Draco, would be sorted into Slytherin if he were actually attending Hogwarts.

This choice isn’t just because he was a Slytherin for ten years in acting. He feels a strong bond with this house, and it’s fantastic since he went ahead and made his relationship to it forever with a tattoo on his posterior. This doesn’t solely have to do with him portraying a Slytherin for a decade.

Casual Chats With Voldemort

In the book series Harry Potter, there are only a handful of things that invoke more fear than Voldemort. With his spine-chilling voice, absence of a nose, and his deeply wicked actions, he manages to scare us all. Something about him is simply terrifying, and it’s hard not to get a shiver down our spines when we think of him.

The source of Felton’s feelings of unease isn’t just from the scenes themselves, but from witnessing Ralph Fiennes morph effortlessly into the character of Voldemort each time the director cries out the command, “Action!” To frighten the people watching the movie is one achievement, but to genuinely unsettle your co-stars in the moment, on the set—well, that’s truly a mark of exceptional acting skills.

A Good Excuse

It can be an interesting thought to imagine if the actors from “Harry Potter” desired to play different characters other than the ones they were given. When posed with this question, Tom Felton surprises us with his response.

As it turns out, Felton actually would’ve preferred to share a kiss with his co-star Rupert Grint rather than always being at odds with him in their roles. This is a different angle that we’d certainly be eager to see.
