40+ Instances When Karma Hit Back at Rude Customers
Having a job in customer service isn’t a walk in the park. Whether your job is at a retail store or a fast food place, there’s often a chance of bumping into not-so-nice customers who make your workday quite tough. However, every so often, these unpleasant customers experience a little bit of well-deserved karma.
Service employees hopped on Reddit to post about the best immediate karma they’ve ever witnessed happening to a disrespectful patron. You’re not going to believe these unbelievable instances of karma in action!
Auto Thief
As an employee at a car parts shop, there’s this one incident where a man took off with $60 headlights. He just blatantly grabbed them and made a speedy dash right out the doorway.
We hurried outside to catch a glimpse of his license plate, just as he recklessly sped away. He hit a curb, bursting his tire in the process. We contacted the police, and this fool ended up being arrested and his car was towed away.
Drive-Thru Drama
U/RedditWhileWorking23: “Picture this – working at McDonalds, on the window, during the late-night shift. A guy makes his order and moves up to the window. Now, I was doing double duty – cooking and manning the window, so I didn’t get to the window immediately when the customer arrived. Walking up to the window, I didn’t notice the jerk had garbage on his lap. All ready to take his payment, I opened the window and boom – he throws a bag of trash at me. As I stepped back, disgusted that I just had garbage tossed at me, this fella just sped off in his car. Anger bubbled in me, but unfortunately, there was zilch I could do about it.”
Moments later, a faint crash of metal hitting metal reached my ears. I strided over to the entrance hall and peered through the large windows. The rude guy had managed to crash into the police car that had been planning to use the drive-thru himself. Naturally, I also made it my business to inform the officer about the recent events that transpired indoors.
Pizza Prank
I’m behind the counter at the pizza joint where I work when a lady practically bursts in, angrily thumping a pizza onto the counter. “This isn’t the f—— pizza I ordered, what the h— are you going to do about?” She demanded. I give the pizza a glance, shoot a look at my coworker Nick, and tell her straight, ‘Nothing.’ She explodes into a lengthy tirade about how we are destined for unemployment, comments on our lack of intelligence, even dares to suggest I might be r——-, and then demands to know why on earth we aren’t going to take any action?
I replied, “Because that pizza came from the pizza shop across the street.” I could actually see her body shrink a little bit from defeat. She looked so miserable and crushed that it made it all the more amusing for me. I burst out laughing so hard that I had tears rolling down my cheeks. She exited the room trying to be subtle, doing her best to disappear into the background.
Swift Justice
A man walks in acting like total jerk. He seems no older than 20 but refuses to show his ID when trying to purchase b—, raising his voice and using curse words nonstop. To make matters worse, he’s thoughtlessly parked in the spot reserved for disabled people, even though his car doesn’t display any handicap tags or plates.
A frequent visitor to my shop, who happens to serve as a sheriff’s deputy, was coincidentally present at the same time as the unruly guy. He observed the troublesome behavior and noted the guy’s poorly chosen parking spot. He strolled out, fetched his ticket book, and wrote him a parking violation. When the guy saw he was not getting what he demanded, he stormed outside… only to find out he was being ticketed. The sight of this just had me in fits of laughter.
