After ‘Freaky Friday’ Post With Lindsay Lohan Got Fans Hyped, Jamie Lee Curtis Shared Exciting Sequel Update
Most people can agree that Freaky Friday was one of the best movies of its genre to come out of the early 2000s. We all know that the movie’s stars, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, have remained friends after all these years, and fans have been hoping there’d be a sequel to the film. Sadly, both actresses spent some time out of the limelight for various reasons, dashing the potential for a professional reunion in the near future. Now, 20 years later, Lindsay and Jamie are both making a comeback, and the timing for another Freaky Friday movie couldn’t be more perfect!
Curtis recently got fans’ hopes up once again when she posted a photo of herself and Lohan on Instagram with the caption, “It’s Friday. I’m just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!” Was she just having a throwback moment? Or was she hinting at something yet to come? Fans got their answer when the actress promised, “It’s going to happen. Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course, it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen.”
We can’t say for sure, but given Jamie’s comments, it seems that the production of Freaky Friday 2 is in the extremely early stages. Let’s just keep our (freaky) fingers crossed, as well, and hope that someone throws us a bone soon!
