Eric Stonestreet Becomes Mad Santa in ‘The Santa Clauses’ Season 2
Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet joins Disney’s The Santa Clauses. He’ll portray Magnus Antas, or Mad Santa, in the TV series’ second season. Stonestreet’s character reigned over the North Pole in the 14th century but is coming back to take down the current Santa, reclaiming the throne. The comedy series is packed with hilarious moments, and it’ll surely be even more interesting next season with Stonestreet joining the team.
How the Mad Santa Character Fits In
Following the end of season one, Scott Calvin, portrayed by Tim Allen, decides not to retire after failing to come up with a suitable replacement. So, he decides to teach his son to eventually take the role of the new Santa Clause.
But Mad Santa doesn’t think so. Portrayed by Eric Stonestreet, the “evil” character will try to reclaim the North Pole. He has a sidekick to help him, too – Olga, played by Martha Kessler. The Santa family will face many new challenges, and the series promises to be just as captivating as the first season.
Many of the characters from the first season will return for the second season, and the filming crew doesn’t change much as well. The release date of The Santa Clauses hasn’t been announced yet, but Season one can be watched on Disney+.
