However, a more recent season of the show in India has outraged many!

The Cheese That Outraged Fans

In an episode of the latest season of MasterChef India, contestant Aruna Vijay was allowed to use cheese instead of fish for a round, and fans were not pleased with the judge’s decision. Aruna is a strict vegetarian and part of the Jain community, a stickler for a plant-based diet, and asked to be exempted from using fish when the task called for it. Although it split opinions, most viewers were simply outraged.

MasterChef Fans Were Not Happy

Although it’s not considered bad for people to tolerate others’ beliefs, countless viewers agreed and commented that what the judges did for Aruna was not right. Many of them mentioned that there was an all-vegetarian season previously, and she could have auditioned there if she was so opposed to dealing with any non-vegetarian products. After all, if she auditioned, she should have been ready to cook anything!
