Bachelor in Paradise Stars Welcome Their Second Baby
Bachelor in Paradise stars Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt celebrated the birth of their second child with an Instagram post. On it, the couple introduced their newborn son, Nash Lochland Wendt, by showing photos of their first moments together at the hospital.
They also shared their excitement for their new family dynamic, saying that their new favorite thing was watching their first son, August, meet Nash for the very first time.
Bachelor in Paradise Parents
In photos and videos, August eagerly tried to see his new baby brother. Baby Nash made his entrance into the world at 2:56 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. and 9 oz. The Bachelor in Paradise parents shared that they felt they would have another boy. They also said they were always picturing having 2 boys less than 2 years apart—and now they’ve been proven right!
Loch apparently wanted her maiden name to live on, so Wendt had the idea to use it in their son’s middle name. That’s how they decided to use the name Lochland. Loch and Wendt met on season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2014. They got engaged in August 2019 and started growing their family soon after. This year, they shared with the world they were awaiting a second child by showing their ultrasound photo.
Loch and Wendt Now Have Two Sons
The Bachelor in Paradise couple gave a big thank you to their fans for being there when they had trouble having a baby. They mentioned that the community was really kind to them after hearing their story. Back in 2021, they told everyone they were going to have their first baby, even though they had some difficulties.
During her 39th week of pregnancy, Loch thought about how she was the one in charge. She explained how she controlled what they ate, when they rested, their appointments, and where they went. She shared her worry about losing the safe place where her baby had been growing and admitted to feeling scared about this change.
She was really excited to meet their new baby. Loch couldn’t wait to see the baby’s face, find out if it was a boy or girl, and let Kevin feel the same way she did for the past nine months. She was a bit worried about not being in control like she was during pregnancy, but she believed that the upcoming moments would be great.
