Zac Efron Finally Got His Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
On December 11, High School Musical’s star Zac Efron was honored for his work throughout the years with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It made him the 2,768th celebrity to join the famous walkway—a truly memorable number.
We’ll soon see the actor as professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich in the A24 biopic Iron Claw. The movie reveals Von Erich’s family history as a dynasty of professional wrestlers and their personal tragedies. But for now, let’s remember some of Efron’s most iconic movie roles we all know and love.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame Star
Zac Efron’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was unveiled at 6426 Hollywood Boulevard under the category of Motion Pictures. Some of the guest speakers who came to support him were the actor’s former co-stars Jeremy Allen White, Miles Teller, and The Iron Claw director Sean Durkin.
Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, also talked about Efron, mentioning his humble beginning at Disney and honoring his other roles in various movies.
Zac Efron’s Acting Career
You may have thought that Troy Bolton was Zac’s first-ever role, but he started his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing as a guest star in shows like ER and Firefly. Of course, High School Musical gave him his breakthrough role and made him known worldwide. After the success of High School Musical 2, we saw Efron in much bigger productions such as Hairspray, 17 Again with Matthew Perry (RIP), and Bad Neighbors.
Efron recently shared that his role in his upcoming movie motivated him to get in shape and that it was the most draining physical transformation he’d ever had to go through. He also said he was truly inspired by the wrestler’s story, and he put his heart and soul into the role. The film was released at the end of December, and we can’t wait to watch it!
