Gordon Ramsay Has Shared if His Swearing Is Part of His TV Persona
Most people know Gordon Ramsay for his many successful TV shows like Masterchef, Hell’s Kitchen, and Kitchen Nightmares—particularly his curse-filled rants! And in a recent interview, Ramsay revealed whether he was acting it out or if that was his real behavior. Apparently, he was genuine all the way.
Gordon Ramsay Wasn’t Acting
Ramsey is perhaps the only man in history to spew 37 swear words in 95 seconds on a TV show. When asked if his TV persona was pre-planned to be so foul-mouthed, Ramsey’s response was that it was always improvised, and never pre-planned.
Kitchen Nightmares Is Back
In the interview, Gordon Ramsay further explained how his breakthrough was Kitchen Nightmares. Back then, he said, he wasn’t thinking about having a persona—because nobody knew him. It was later, when he became famous, that people started wondering more about the Ramsey persona, and put his performance under the microscope.
According to Chef Ramsay, he is the same person when the cameras are on and off. So, people can now be certain that when he gets angry on TV, he really is! Fans are certainly enjoying his unscripted and fiery persona and the way it combines with his authenticity and passion for cooking. Both Ramsey and his show shine because of their commitment to helping struggling restaurants, despite the swearing.
